Truth 4 the Week - Worship of a sinner

Topic: Worship of a sinner
Bible Verse : Luke:7:37 "And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil "

Message:  There are 2 important things which we learn from the act of woman called Mary at feet of Jesus (John:11:2). Firstly she always sat at the feet of Jesus to listen to Him (Luke:10:39) . The more we grow in Christ we become more of a listener (James:1:19). Also not just stop with listening we have to obey (Mathew:12:13-23). God is willing to speak only to those who have a heart to listen & obey (1Samuel:3:1-10). Secondly the woman was able to serve Jesus better than the pharisee because she had greater understanding of her sin and also the forgiveness of God in love. (Luke:7:47). That's why holy spirit convicts of sin (John:16:8). Stpaul one of the greatest apostle calling himself as a cheif sinner shows how much of understanding he had on God's love (1Timothy:1:15) which made him serve God.

Prayer : Dear Lord help us to listen to your word and understand your love. Continue to speak with us in Jesus Name Amen.

Truth 4 the Week - Stumbling Block

 Topic : Stumbling Block
Bible Verse : Revelation 2:14 "..you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel.."

Message : The enemy devil who knows your weakness puts lot of stumbling blocks to make you live in flesh .When we fall in such blocks we loose power, faith, peace & many more. (Judges:16 :16-20). We carry God's vessel we should not touch any unclean thing (Isaiah:52:11). Secondly, to avoid such blocks we should be able to see them. This is possible only through meditation on word of God & listening to Holy Spirit (Psalm:119:105). Finally, we should not be a stumbling block to others. Because destruction awaits those who bring separations & drift families, children, society or church from faith.

Prayer: Dear Lord help us not be stumbling blocks to faith. Continue to speak with us. In Jesus name Amen
