New Year 2023 Promise - devil cannot touch

Bible Verse : 1John 5:18 "We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him"

Message : To be protected from evil one we should first realise that we are born of God through Jesus (John 1:12,13 & Romans 8 :15-17). Also we should desire like Moses or Daniel to belong to God , we should not be like children of Israel who loved the worldly pleasures of Egypt more than God (Daniel 1:8, Hebrews 11: 24-27). Secondly, though the protection is from God we should desire & take measures to be protected using the Word of God, the spiritual Armour of God & the Holy Spirit of God (Psalm 119:11, Ephesians 6: 11-17 & 2Timothy 1:14). Finally, do not fear but claim the promise that the wicked one cannot touch because our lives are in Hands of almighty God & he will not leave us until he has accomplished His Will in our lives (John 10:29 , Zechariah 2:8, Psalms 138:8, 2Thessalonians 3:3). Mind of God

Topic: *Mind of God*

 *Bible Verse* : Mark 8:33 _Jesus rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”_ 

 *Message* : God has given us free will to think on our own & decide (Genesis 2:19). God is very much disappointed when we have a mind of evil which is against His Mind (Genesis 6:5,6) & He is pleased when we have mind that thinks like God (ACTS 13:22) Secondly, we are surrounded by people of world, cultures of world & the evil things of devil which constantly induces things into our mind, making it far from God (Isaiah 55:8,9, Psalms 1:1). Hence we are not able to see things or scenarios as Jesus sees with compassion, love & kindness. (Mark 6:34, Luke 19:41) Finally, we can have a mind like God if we are always in God's presence through the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:20, Psalms 51:11) Just like David, Samuel & Apostle's. Also when we rule over every evil thought through faith in God we can have mind of Christ (1Corinthians 2:16, 2Corinthians 10:5). God bless you.

Overcome through Salvation

Topic: *Overcome through Salvation*

 *Bible Verse* :  Psalms 32:5 "I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin"

 *Message* : To overcome challenges first & foremost we have to overcome the sins in our lives. Else the guilt, lack of peace & torture of sin in our hearts will weigh us down (Psalms 32:3). Only when we acknowledge our sins , have a desire for Holy life we will receive the forgiveness & Joy of salvation through Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, Psalm 51:12). Secondly, remember our salvation daily by being careful to live a Holy life, thanking God for His forgiveness & remembering sacrifice of Jesus on cross (Ephesians 4:14-32  Hebrews 12:3, 1Thessalonians 5:1-11 ). Finally, share this Joy of salvation to others. Share what God has done to redeem you and deliver you. (Psalms 51:13, Mark 5:1-20, Luke 15:6,9,23) . God bless you

No longer Slave to Sin

 *Truth 4 the Week*

Topic: *No longer slave to sin*

*Bible Verse*: Romans 6:6  "knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin"

*Message*: When we comit sin we are slave to it and we obey to the devil involuntarily in committing the same actions again (John 8:34). But this is why Jesus Christ came to this world, to deliver us (1John 3:8). When we are saved we start to hate sin & have the Joy of salvation (Isaiah 30:22 ). Secondly, the Holy Spirit reminds us that we are not slave to sin & help us overcome sin (Romans 8: 12-16). The Holy Spirit of God given to us when we are saved through Jesus Christ does not push us to slavery but helps us to live in authority as children of the living God. Finally, do not give to slavery again. Come out from the sources of sin, seek for strength through prayer & live a successful life daily , overcoming sin (Isaiah 52:11 ,Matthew 26:40,41 ) ..  *Bible Verse* : Psalms 84:1,2 " How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God"

 *Message* :  Is prayer just a boring spiritual rites or is it a sweet time which really our soul yearns ? Prayer is sweet because it's seeking & being in God's Presence, speaking & listening to God (Psalms 123: 1,2 ; 27:8,9 ; 42:1,2 & 1Samuel 3 :10). Secondly, prayer can give us Joy & rest at any situation. We try various things to find solace to overcome stress . But try Prayer as Jesus did to find rest in His busy schedule (Mark 6:31-46). Finally prayer brings into us the characters from God . For example our hands can be truly helping only if they are praying (Isaiah 6, Hebrews 12 :12,13). God bless you

Forgotten God

Topic: *Forgotten God* 

 *Bible Verse* : Deuteronomy 8:11 " _Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day_ "

 *Message* : We forget lot of things in life. But some scenarios like forgetting God can have very adverse effects in our life. We may remember there is God but if we have forgotten His Love, His teachings, His blessings, His nature & His sacrifice then we are forgetting God & have lack of interest towards God (Malachi 1:1-8 & 3: 13,14). Secondly, when we forget God & depart from Him we face the punishment for our sins, we may not be covered under His mercy or Grace because God will turn His face away & forget us & our children (Hosea 1:2-9 & 4:6). Finally, we can always remember God if we whole heartedly meditate His Words, Testimonies, wonders, sacrifice etc.. We should speak about them, share with our children so that we remember the Lord our God (Deuteronomy 6:5-21). God bless you.

Holy Desires

Topic: *Holy Desires*

 *Bible Verse* :  Psalm 20:4 " _May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed_ "

 *Message* : A true desire comes from heart & if it's always evil or worldly then there needs a change, which can only be given by Jesus (Psalm 51:10). Firstly, desire God's word which is the Holy Bible. We will have light to our path, comfort in sorrow, protection from sin & understand a living God when we desire God's Word (Psalms 119:97, 9, 92, 105 & Hebrews 4:12). Secondly, desire for God's presence; we will find Joy & Confidence at any situation & never feel lonely. Whenever we seek Him alone or in group we will find Him (Matthew 6:6, 18:20, Psalms 27:3,4 , 139:7 & John 14:18).  Finally, desire Heaven where there is no more sorrow or tears (Psalms 23:5, John 14:2,3 & Revelation 21:4). Never desire or think of hell but set your treasure on Heaven so our heart will always long to be in Heaven (Matthew 13:42 & 6:21). God bless you.

Obstacles to return to God

Topic: *Obstacles to return to God* 

 *Bible Verse* : Jeremiah 3:22 _"Return, you backsliding children, And I will heal your backslidings.”_

 *Message* : We all have sinned & went far away from God (Psalms 14:3 & Romans 3:23). There are some obstacles for us now to turn back to God. Firstly, the obstacles brought by devil in form of sins, lies, hard heartedness etc (Hosea 5:4,5, John 8:42-47). Without true heart of repentance, faith & love we cannot return to God (Hosea 5:6,15, Isaiah 29:13, Hebrews 11:6). So bind first the devil & his works in Jesus name (Mark 3:27). Secondly, people in authority & false teachers are used by devil to turn us towards fake god's (Hosea 5:10, Deuteronomy 13: 1-4). Pray for our spiritual eyes to be opened so that we turn to the true God (Ephesians 1:18). Finally, we are just one true prayer away for turning back to God. Also when we pray for others God can use us to bring them back (Mark 2:3-5 & 1John 1:8-9). God bless you.

We Shall Overcome

Topic: *We shall overcome*

*Bible Verse* : 1 John 5:4 " _For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith_ "

 *Message* : We often feel down when surrounded by world of sin, sickness, temptations, false teachings etc. We can still overcome & enter Heaven. Firstly, through Jesus Chust we receive the Holy Spirit of God who reminds us that we are Children of God & not of world (Romans 8: 16 John 14:17, 18). This is a reminder of our righteousness, authority & responsibility as children of God (Isaiah 52:11, 12, Romans 8:17). Secondly, through the Holy Spirit we can overcome the evil works & thoughts of flesh (Romans 8: 5, 13). Always feed your Spiritual being & not the weakness of flesh. Then we will be strong in Spirit & use the spiritual armour to fight against devil (Ephesians 6.10-17). Finally, use your authority in faith, for nothing shall be impossible, in faith (Matthew 17:20) So grow in faith daily. God bless you

Overcome Lust of Eyes

Topic: Overcome Lust of Eyes

Bible Verse : Matthew 5:28 (Jesus Said) "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart"

Message: Humans lust all that they see (Genesis 6:2,3). It's not just limited to lust of men or women but on food, wealth, positions etc. Today the devil has brought before our eyes the entire worldly stuff through internet & online apps to lust it, but only Jesus who overcame this temptation can help us & He is eager to help (Luke 4:5-8). Secondly make a covenant with God on your eyes. The covenant through blood of Jesus & His broken body can cleanse our eyes & even make it to serve God (Hebrews 9;14,15). Finally, pray that our spiritual eyes will be opened & enlightened to see the riches of God in store for us in Heaven so that we will know that worldly things are worthless (Ephesians 1:18,19).
