Topic: Weakness of flesh
Bible Verse: Mark 14:38 ”Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.”
Message: The weakness of our flesh is really threat in the times of darkness but we have Jesus who overcame this weakness & the Holy Bible teaches this to us too. Firstly, acknowledge the weakness of our body before God so that we are cleansed daily by the blood of Jesus Christ and we can rely not on our might, but on grace of Jesus and His strength.(1 John 1: 9,10; Hebrews 9:14; John 15: 4,5). Secondly, control and subject the flesh to obedience of the Holy Spirit; the flesh cannot think the ways of God & it always contradicts with the spirit but if we feed the spirit through obedience to Holy Spirit & reject feeding evil lust of body then we will see the Holy Spirit reviving our weak body for good works (Romans 8:1-13; 1 Corinthians 9:27). Finally, trust in the strength from God. In our weakness God has promised His strength. The food given by God to Elijah made him run tirelessly for 40 days & nights. In the same way as God strengthen us through prayer, word of God, fellowship & in many ways let us receive it by faith (James 5: 17; Isaiah 40: 30, 31). God bless You.
