Topic: Gift of the Holy Spirit - Faith
Bible Verse : Matthew 17:20 "(Jesus said) if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."
Message : Faith comes from listening and believing the word of God (Romans 10:17). We were saved when a faith as small as mustard seed was created in us; by someone who told us that Jesus died for our sins and raised up on 3rd day to give us eternal life in heaven (Matthew 13: 31,32). Now after being saved we receive the Holy Spirit who gives us greater faith even to move mountains. Secondly, why do we need such great faith so as to move mountains? We know that without faith we cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). Now the devil puts a lot of hindrances for us to do God's will and God's name to be glorified, it may be huge as mountains which on worldly terms cannot be moved. Such things requires greater faith which comes through Holy Spirit & was seen in lives of Moses, Joshua, Jesus , disciples & many more believers (Joshua 10:12-14). Focus to grow in Spirit & stand in faith (Hebrews 10:38). God bless you.
